Optimed Software Corporation – Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Developed by Optimed, Accuro®EMR software is ranked #1 nationally by the trusted physician resource, CanadianEMR.ca. Serves over 3,700 physicians across Canada.
Optimed purchased the Accuro® software from Dr. Thomas Kinahan, a practicing Urologist, whose goal was to satisfy the need for one complete clinic management solution – patient registration, patient scheduling, billing and EMR. Since then, Optimed has focused on developing, implementing, and supporting the Accuro® product line of clinic management software with the help of an Advisory Board of practicing physicians. Optimed’s mission is to be the premier vendor of integrated clinic management solutions.
Optimed’s clients range in size from single physician clinics to multiple physician clinics with numerous administrative staff to groups of almost 100 physicians. Optimed clients:
- have converted paper practices with thousands of paper patient files into Accuro®EMR;
- opened new practices and built their practices from the ground up using Accuro®EMR; or
- upgraded from other EMR systems to Accuro®EMR and converted as many as 27 years of electronic EMR patient data.

QHR Software Inc. – Enterprise Management Solutions (EMS)
The QHR software suite of solutions has evolved from a philosophy that healthcare organizations need to properly manage their people and finances very well. QHR Software has focused on the multi-skilled healthcare employee in the multi-position, multi-union, multi-facility Canadian healthcare environment for over 13 years. QHR Software is the leading Canadian healthcare vendor providing all three major components – HR, Staff Scheduling and Payroll – within a single, integrated system. The company supports over 100,000 healthcare employees on one or more of these core modules.
In January 2009, QHR Software enhanced that industry leadership with the acquisition of the Financials Division from Momentum Healthware. Momentum had a very similar philosophy of helping their healthcare clients better manage their facilities and programs with the development of a healthcare specific series of financial tools built on the world-class Microsoft Dynamics GP Financial System. QHR Software now complements their powerful Payroll, Scheduling and Human Resource systems (marketed under the brand name Quadrant Workforce) with an equally powerful Quadrant Financials suite of software solutions. The combined Financials and Workforce solution provides the company with a complete Enterprise Management Software (EMS) solution.
All of the Quadrant Workforce and Financial solutions have been developed for and deployed in the Canadian healthcare sector. They have been the cornerstone of a multitude of healthcare organizations’ Enterprise Management System for many years. A large percentage of QHR Software’s customers are utilizing both the Financials and Workforce solutions in an integrated environment, all across Canada and specifically in the Ontario market.

Cloudwerx Data Solutions Inc. – Hosting
The Hosting division provides integrated data hosting services to QHR’s EMS and EMR customers that prefer to access their software solution in an Application Service Provider (ASP) setting. Some provincial programs give preference to, and/or mandate a hosted environment to meet the provincial EMR subsidy programs in place for the physicians. The company has built out its data center infrastructure in co-location facilities to best accommodate the client needs for both their software application and technical infrastructure. Cloud computing is a growing business and for QHR’s clients the company has made this upfront investment to offer a complete set of managed services.
