QHR APPOINTS DR. ERNEST WIGMORE AS CHAIRMAN
Kelowna, BC, May 17, 2010 – (TSX-V: QHR) QHR Technologies Inc. (“QHR” or the “Company”), (TSX Venture: QHR) announced today that Dr. Ernest Wigmore has been elected as QHR’s Chairman of the board. Dr. Wigmore, a family practice physician in BC has been actively involved with EMR systems development in Canada for many years, having been the founder and former Chairman of National Medical Solutions which was acquired by QHR in 2007. Dr. Wigmore joined the QHR Board of Directors in July 2008 and has been active on the audit and compensation committees and is a significant shareholder in QHR.
QHR’s former Chairman and director Doug Blakeway resigned effective May 15, 2010. Mr. Blakeway has decided to concentrate his time on another business endeavour.
Dr. Wigmore stated, “I personally, and on behalf of the board want to thank Doug Blakeway for his contribution to QHR during a time of growth and setting the stage for QHR in 2010 and beyond. We wish him well in his other endeavours.”
