Director Changes
March 19, 2004 (QHR – TSX-Venture) Mr. Al Hildebrandt, President and CEO of the Company, is pleased to announce that Dr. Tom Kinahan has consented to act as a Director of the Company effective March 25, 2004.
Dr. Kinahan is a practicing pediatric and adult urological surgeon and Chief of Surgery at the Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. He is also an entrepreneurial developer of IT technology as it relates to needs of physicians. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Optimedirect Corporation that developed the Accuro™ software that QHR is currently marketing under an Exclusive Marketing and Licensing Rights Agreement as previously announced.
Dr. Kinahan will replace Mr. David Goertz who has resigned his seat on the Board of Directors effective March 25, 2004. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Goertz for his service and expertise over the past several years.
As an integral component of its business plan, QHR will act as a business development company. Through its subsidiaries it will expand its business with the creation or acquisition of new products that offer software solutionstailoredtotheneedsofthehealthcareindustry. QHRwishestocombinetheintellectualresourcesand proprietary rights of others with its own business resources to develop effective and efficient business strategies that will accelerate the growth of the Company.
The primary product of the Company is Quadrant HR™. It focuses on the effective administration of employee information in complex organizations such as healthcare facilities. The premise is that all HR data should be processed once and then be available to administrate all elements of HR, payroll and staff scheduling from one software system. Quadrant HR™ is designed to store, process and utilize accurate employee information, from a single HR database, especially in complex payroll, multi-position HR environments.
The recent addition to the product line of the Company is Accuro™. It is a powerful new suite of medical software modules designed to improve the quality of the operational work environment of Specialist Physicians and Surgeons while delivering administrative productivity gains and cost savings through computer automation. These products deliver uniquely configured functional tools for clinical research and data management as well as patient scheduling, billing, operating room administration and other general administrative functions.
