Kootenai Parkland Contracts

June 12, 2002 (QHR – TSX) Mr. Al Hildebrandt, President and CEO of the Company is pleased to announce that QHR has received two new contracts totaling more than $620,000 CDN for the implementation of its Human Resource (HR) software product, Quadrant HR.

The first contract is from Kootenai Medical Center (KMC) a 225 bed healthcare facility in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. KMC has been named as the Top 100 Orthopedic Hospitals in the USA in 2000 as well as being named as one of Healthcare’s Most Wired in 1999 and 2001. KMC is a community owned, public hospital with 1,500 employees. Under the terms of this contract, QHR will implement the Human Resource modules of Quadrant HR which will be interfaced to KMC’s Meditech Payroll system. KMC is a part of Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) which provides IT services to 22 Northwest Healthcare facilities. QHR’s implementation team will be complimented by project management services from INHS during the implementation of this project.

The second contract is from the Parkland Regional Health Authority which is responsible for the planning, coordination, funding and delivery of all health services for the 44,000 residents within the Parkland Region of Manitoba. Their headquarters are located in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada. Parkland will be implementing Quadrant HR’s core Payroll and Human Resources modules for all of their 2,200 employees. QHR will be interfacing its payroll software with a suite of healthcare financial software products from Momentum Healthware Corporation of Winnipeg. With this contract, Quadrant HR is now contracted as the HR and Payroll system in 3 health authorities and two long term care facilities in Manitoba.

The two contracts will add revenues in excess of $620,000 CDN for software licenses, implementation and support services of which the majority should be recognized during the current fiscal year as implemented. Kootenai and Parkland has already started implementation and completion is expected by the first quarter of 2003. The company currently has the resources it requires for the administration, support and implementation of these contracts.
