Director OFlaherty

March 13, 2002 – (QHR – CDNX) – Mr. Al Hildebrandt, President and CEO of the Company, is pleased to announce that Mr. Tom O’Flaherty has consented to act as a director of the Company effective March 1, 2002.

Mr. O’Flaherty’s business experience over the past 20 years has focused on the corporate development of new technology companies and the management of them into prosperous business organizations.

In 1983, he co-founded Bedford Software (now known as Simply Accounting). The Company was successfully developed for six years. It was acquired by Computer Associates in 1989.

In 1989, he co-founded Richmond Technologies, publisher of Maximizer Contact Management Software. This company was successfully developed and then acquired by Modatech Systems Inc. in 1993. He agreed to act as VP Marketing for Modatech and later acted as the President and CEO until 1995.
In 1996, he joined Ernst & Young in Vancouver where he acted as Vice President of Corporate Finance. During this time he assisted many companies in the early stages of financing and corporate development. He was instrumental in assisting Ernst & Young to become one of the leading service providers to the technology industry in British Columbia. As part of his duties, he co-authored the 1997 and 1999 BC Report Card Studies on Technology, as commissioned by the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA). Tom is a founding Director of BCTIA, serving on the Board at various times since 1985.

In January, 2000 Mr. O’Flaherty has acted as President of Voice Mobility International Inc., until June, 2001. He helped organize the company, expanded business operations and presided over the launch of new products. During his tenure the company raised $24 million and completed its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia in Halifax. He went on to earn his Master of Science (Operations Research) from Birmingham University in the United Kingdom.
Mr. O’Flaherty’s experience in the development of technology will be invaluable to the business plans of QHR. His experience in corporate finance and management will be a definite asset as the Company has been gaining momentum in the marketing of its proprietary human resource software known as Quadrant HR. The primary market to date has been the healthcare industry. QHR is now ready to pursue broader markets but must secure the resources it requires to do so.

QHR Technologies Inc. is engaged in the business of developing and implementing human resource and payroll software solutions and related technology business acquisitions. The corporate mission is to become a global leader in human resource software for complex payroll environments. QHR is developing software solutions designed to handle all elements of human resource management including payroll and employee relations.
